RAJGIR WILDLIFE SAFARI, RAJGIR,BIHAR

The proposed Rajgir WIldlife Safari (Area: 191.12 Ha) is situated within the Pant Wild Life Sanctuary and surrounded by 3 hillocks. This creates a picturesque landscape. There are 5 safaris proposed i.e. Herbivore, Bear, Leopard, Tiger, Lion safaris. Along with the safaris a Walk-in-Aviary and a Butterfly Park is also planned. Rajgir WIldlife Safari will certainly become a centre of focus for Conservation of Herbivores, Bear, Leopard, Tiger, Lion and Aves of the Region, Research and Education. This will also provide opportunities for an enjoyable day out with the family, along with delivering environmental education and will attract national, international and local tourists to educate and make aware them of wild life protection and conservation.

Nagaland is rich in flora and fauna.The Great Indian Hornbill is one of the most famous birds found in the state. Blyth’s Tragopan, a vulnerable species of pheasant, is the state Bird of Nagaland. Mithun (a semi domesticated Gaur) found only in the North-Eastern states of India, is the state animal of Nagaland. To generate awareness among the natives of Nagaland towards the wildlife found within the state, to attract International, National, State, District level tourists and to conserve wildlife Nagaland Zoological Park,Rangapahar is established in the year 1986 at Dimapur.
